“I do not want my house to be walled in on all sides and my windows to be stifled. I want all the cultures of all lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible. But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.” ~ Mohandas Gandhi
The centre has a well-compiled collection of books and audio-visual material in its library. There are approximately 900 books and about 60 CD / VCDs / audio-video tapes available in the library. The library of the centre also doubles up as the centre's committee room and seminar room, and also serves as a well-equipped classroom for about 30-40 students. The room is equipped with a large television, laptop and desktop computers, LCD projection, a high quality Public Address System and facilities to play audiovisual material. Soon, the room would also be equipped with a high resolution plasma screen and a handycam, to facilitate recording of the workshops, seminars or lectures by resource persons. The camera would also permit creation of audio-visual aids for courses and workshops outdoors.
The unique feature of the centre is the meditation room with quiet ambience, which can seat 35 people at any given time for meditation. This facility is used regularly by students and faculty of the institute during working days as well as saturdays to practise various forms of meditation that they have been trained in. It is also used to conduct meditation workshops for upto 30-35 people at a given time.
Besides these, the centre has office space for four faculty members, equipped with computers and peripherals, photocopying facility, wired and wireless network connections, etc.
